DIY Fuzz Pedal Workshop            – Friday 20th 9.30am – 14.00 Galley Bar

This workshop will instruct you how to build a guitar fuzz pedal based on this schematic from scratch using basic electronic components and laying them out on Perf board. You will learn how to solder components, mount jacks and potentiometers and switches onto an enclosure and a little bit about how the pedal works

The ‘Fuzz’ distortion guitar pedal has been used extensively throughout the history of rock music, think of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, and Nirvana. The Interfax Harmonic Percolator circuit is one flavor of fuzz popularised by Steve Albini of Shellac and Electrical Audio fame.

By the end of this workshop you will not only have gained a unique addition to your rig, but also an understanding of the basic techniques and electronic theory involved in audio electronics. We hope to leave you with the confidence to begin working on your own projects from home in the future.

All parts are included and we welcome everyone, no prior experience is necessary. Places are limited to 10 people and tea and coffee will be served in the morning. Over 16’s only

The workshop is run by Ian Chestnut from Guerilla Sounds/Guerilla Devices and Rory O’Brien from Ten Past seven
