Eve is a musician and singer/songwriter from Clonakilty, currently living in Cork City and just finished her degree in Popular Music (Voice) at Cork School of Music, CIT where she had been developing her sound for the past 4 years. She has been playing music from a very young age with different bands & has performed with them and solo at various venues and festivals such as Body & Soul, Electric Picnic and Townlands.

Eve had a great upbringing, as her family are all musicians and songwriters. She’s following in the footsteps of her brother Sam Clague and father Les Clague. She learnt how to play guitar and about musicianship from a very young age off her dad. Clonakilty has also been a huge influence on her as the Clonakilty International Guitar Festival is held there every year with huge artists performing in her town. At the 2017 Festival, Eve was a featured guest in the Acoustic Forum which was presented by the renowned luthier Gorge Lowden. She performed alongside Tony Mcmanus, Bill Shanley, Leo Wijnkamp Jnr. and Kees Van der Poel. This year, Eve will be performing her own songs with a 5 piece band that she has been putting together over the past year. It features her brother Sam on guitar, Paul Leonard on drums, Brian Dunlea on bass and Diarmait MacCarthaigh on keyboard.

This is a very exciting time for Eve, as before the end of the year, she will be releasing her Debut EP Tilted ‘’Hide In Full View” which is the name of one the tracks that inspired the EP. It is being recorded by Brian Casey of Wavefield Studios in Clonakilty.

Eve’s music is described as colorful, personal, guitar – driven blend of soul, folk and jazz.  She has been very influenced by artists such as Lianne La Havas and Amy Winehouse.

As well as performing her own original music, she has worked with various artists such as Bean Dolan and Darce. She has been mentioned on Nialler9″” top 10 artists to listen to this week with the song “Valhalla” which she recorded with Darce in Wavefield Studios. The song was listed on a playlist by the Spotify Senior London editor along with other upcoming Irish artists.

Eve has supported acts such as Eddie Reader, Jerry Fish and Brian Deady to name a few and most of her original performances are in Cork City in venues such as Crane Lane, The Friary and The Roundy. She also plays in West Cork’s Connolly’s of Leap, De Barra’s Folk Club, Clonakilty and Levi’s Bar, Ballydehob.
